# Rehearsal calculators for agents

Calculate CAT or XAT raw marks, compare education loan repayments, or use the existing CAT interview-call model without contact details. Website calculations, HTTP endpoints and remote calculator tools share their calculation logic.

## Browser tools

Open a calculator page in a browser with WebMCP enabled. The website registers calculateCATRawScore, predictCATAdmissionChances, compareEducationLoanRepayment and calculateXATRawScore through document.modelContext. Availability depends on the browser and host. Page tools exist while the page is open.

## Remote MCP

Configure https://tryrehearsal.ai/api/mcp as a Streamable HTTP MCP server in a compatible client. Initialise the connection, list tools and call the named calculator. No authentication is required for these anonymous calculations. Connecting a server does not guarantee that an assistant selects it.

The remote service also retains its existing MBA lesson and case tools. Those teaching experiences are separate from the calculators.

### Calculate CAT raw marks

Call calculateCATRawScore with:

The result is 117 raw marks: VARC 49, DILR 30, QA 38. Correct answers receive 3 marks, incorrect MCQs deduct 1, and incorrect typed/unanswered questions receive 0. This calculates the stated arithmetic; it does not convert marks into a percentile or an official scaled score. The result includes the rule version and assumptions.

### Estimate interview calls

Call predictCATAdmissionChances with:

Optional fields include academics, engineering background, gender and work experience in months. Use information supplied by the user and preserve the returned assumptions about omitted fields. Results are the existing model's heuristic estimates, not calibrated probabilities or official shortlist decisions. Sectional cutoffs are unavailable and remain null. The remote result includes every predicted college's identifier, name and scores without repeated descriptive school data.

The raw endpoint is POST https://tryrehearsal.ai/api/v1/calculators/cat-raw. The admission endpoint is POST https://tryrehearsal.ai/api/cat-predictor. Send JSON using the same examples above.

[Tool input contracts](https://tryrehearsal.ai/.well-known/webmcp-tools.json) describe fields and limits. A static descriptor documents capabilities; executable tools are discovered through the browser or remote MCP connection.

## Compare education loan repayments

The result has INR 18,000 study interest. The interestServiced scenario has EMI INR 17,769.76; interestCapitalised has EMI INR 19,369.04. Outputs include both scenario summaries, rounded display amounts, currency, method version and assumptions. Schedules are omitted from agent responses.

The method uses whole-month simple interest before repayment, one-time capitalisation and monthly reducing-balance repayment. Rates stay constant. Fees, daily dates, partial study-interest payments, subsidies and prepayments are excluded. It calculates scenarios from the supplied terms and does not determine lender eligibility or a loan offer.

## Calculate XAT raw marks

Call calculateXATRawScore through browser WebMCP, configured remote MCP, or POST https://tryrehearsal.ai/api/v1/calculators/xat-raw with:

Part 1 returns 37.60 marks: 43 correct answers minus 5 marks for 20 incorrect answers and 0.40 for four skips beyond the shared allowance of eight. GK returns 12 separately and never changes Part 1. Section scores precede the shared skip deduction. Counts are explicit; the official paper lengths are approximate. Results include the rule version, source and assumptions. This is raw scoring, without a percentile conversion.
